Brunei is a small state located in the north of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. It shares the island with Malaysia and Indonesia. Its territory, cut in two parts, is bordered by the South China Sea and surrounded completely by the Malaysian state of Sarawak. The island of Pulau Cermin is located less than 1 km from the coast. This island is a historic and protected Brunei Heritage Site. Quite a mystical island, because of its past in the written history of Brunei.
